I bought my WRT54G wireless/wired router about a week after I purchased my laptop in January 2006. The WRT54G had pretty good reviews, and I picked it up for around $40. It worked, problem is within the past year it has heated itself to malfunction after malfunction. I found when I was not using the wireless functionality of the router, it would work properly via wired connection. However, when I was connecting via the wireless connection, it would overheat and power off. I finally bought a new one through ebay. It's a Netgear WGM124 Pre-N router. It works pretty well, and even when I'm outside where I used to get a good signal, I now get an excellent signal. It has three antennas and a metal case instead of two antennas and a plastic case.
